I shudder to think, & your right i think the world would come to a screaming halt.
I have watched shop assistants during a power cut trying to add & subtract with a pen & paper then scratching their heads trying to work out how to write out a manual sales receipt

Well considering how few years the Internet has been around relative to mankinds history, I think we would cope ok but many people would be out of a job until they found a different field. The world WOULD be chaotic for a time but we would quite easily revert back to our 'non internet' times.

I don't doubt there would be a few who would spend weeks locked in their house gently rocking themselves and mumbling unintelligible sentences but i'm sure you would get over it

Well if there was no internet... there goes malicious activity, it'd take a HUGE drop. BUT, I'd still have both jobs... fixin arcade games and power equipment.

Don't count on it, it will happen, a certain Asian country (that shall remain nameless here) has almost succeeded a couple times and that's not to mention the weapons that are capable of doing just that. :shock:

I'd miss it but I'd be able to live without it if it did happen, OK I spend a lot of time using the Internet but there are other things that I could do instead, the thing that would be the biggest wrench would be getting my weekly grocery shopping as at present I can just sit in front of my computer and shop then have it delivered.

It will be...the world (at least the US) depends greatly on the internet now that it being Shutdown would really cause some chaos
