Is Windows 7 the same for laptop and PC?

As per title really... Just wondering if there are any differences?

Another thing I was wondering... Is the windows license limited to 1 computer only?? I've never had a genuine version of windows before (tut tut), but I always assumed if you bought a lisence, you could use it on more than 1 computer (I have a laptop and 2 PC's)...

If it is limited, can I buy a second lisence cheaper?

Carl, just one computer at a time per license. Look into the family license pack for some price break.

The only difference I've seen is the power options - desktop pc's have no batteries.

There is no difference between Windows versions on mobile PCs vs desktops. It will detect that automatically.

As for licensing, sorry one PC per license.

Yes this is correct information, one comuter at a time. If you just bought the OS, call MS and they will (happened before) will let you buy family pack and give credit for price already paid.

The family pack offer has been discontinued...so that isn't an option anymore unless you can find one floating around the net or still in a store.

Sorry, 1 install per computer. Windows is expensive.

there is one difference - Windows Mobility Centre. As far as I'm aware you can't get to it on a desktop machine (that was the case with Vista). Apart from that, nothing.
