AGP is long gone, it is a waste of money to replace an AGP card, to another AGP card. Considering your computer, I would recommend a complete PC upgrade, even the very low-end budget systems today are superior to that of yours.

AGP is not dead, but its well on its way :p, the AGP HD3850 is still good for ''premium'' GFX performance...

as others have said a full system upgrade would be beneficial, b/c any new components you add to that machine will simply highlight other faults it has (your rig is only as strong as its weakest link)

if a full upgrade is not an option i'd look at one of these...

HD3450 AGP

pretty good spec, & it only requires a 300w PSU...

but as i said above adding this will only highlight how slow the rest of the machine is, so you probably wont even be able to run this card to its full potential...

but of course its your choice..;)

I am gone this web site and see that
Cons: Does not work well with Windows 7. Only does areo mode and no drivers to correct it.

there are bound to be some horror stories, this is ATI ...lol

unfortunatly if you want a modern AGP card your stuck with ATI, again if you upgrade to PCIE your choices are endless... ;)
