Can't See My Desktop

I'm able to see my wallpaper, but i cannot see any icons on my desktop. When I right click it nothing happens.but I can still right click my task bar. But when i go into my documents & click on the desktop button i can see everything on my desktop in that window.

Type show desktop icons in search check what you want to show

i couldnt solve the problem, if u want the icons back just make another account and transfer your files.

Sound like you have a virus. Try running a new task in Task Manager called Explorer.exe. Does that bring up your desktop?

I don't have a virus. i've scanned everything multiple times with symantec. i've done the runn a new task in Task Manager called Explorer.exe and nothing. all i could do was see my wallpaper, tastbar,windows,and desktop gadgets.but nothing on my desktop.i've messed around in the control panel options,nothing.so i just made a new account and everything is ok

What happen to the other account? is it still having the issue?

Log back on with it,

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > Explorer

Is there a key called Nodesktop?

This is the result of going in and back out of presentation mode.

Go to your desktop. Click right --> View --> Show desktop icons
