Hello,

I am having problems with my onboard sound not working after my computer wakes up from sleep. I need to restart the computer to get any sound in the speakers again.

Note that this is regarding my motherboard in which I have my speakers plugged in. My headset works fine after sleep, they are plugged into a Creative SB Audigy sound card.

When the onboard sound is not working after sleep, I can not even start playing music, as if I there were no sound card installed.

I have found some "solutions" in various forums, but it haven't helped me (and most of them was regarding specific laptop models anyways).

Please help me if you can.
Thanks!

EDIT: SOLVED, READ BOTTOM POST

Do the headphones work with the intergated card? Have you considered plugging the speakers into the working card and the headphones into the intergrated one?

Hello,

I tried changing the headphones with the speakers, and also downloaded the latest drivers from Creative's website and restarted the computer. After this, I could hear sound in both speakers and my headset after a sleep mode.

I have no idea which step solved the problem, but anyway, thanks for the help! It is greatly appreciated! Keep up the good work. ;)
