quadro nvs 110m and a 120m driver needed for dell d820

I am looking for a driver that will rune on my laptop. I have just installed Windows 7 64-bit on my laptop. Here are the specs:

Name: Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
Chip Type: Nvidia
DAC type: 8-bit
Main driver: vga

The Nvidia website has given some problems. I can't find what driver i need to download for my system. It keeps telling me that I don't have the correct windows OS to run the installer... Any help?

I have also tried those nvidia drivers. Every time I try to run the installer an error shows up telling me that I am not running a version Windows Vista 32/Windows 7 64. So, I am still not quite sure what I am doing wrong.

Idk if this is pertinent or not: I had a new hard drive installed yesterday and then installed XP using the disk that came with my laptop. My laptop came with a drivers disk, but I did not run it. I just upgraded to Windows 7 as soon as I could... So if this helps at all...

your laptop may have the ati mobility card or the gforce go series , i am not to clued up on the subsys id thing a member with more experience will give a more exact answer to the card you have ,but either way i dont think you will be able to run aero

I just ran the installer again, and recieved a different error along with the one i usually recieve:

"You are running a 32 bit verson of Nvidia uninstaller on a 64 bit system
(binary type I386)
Wrong version of uninstaller. Uninstaller exits now."

^ this is the newer error (for clarification)

you may have downloaded the 32bit drivers try the 64bit drivers from the same source ,it is the gforce go series driver you require

are you installing in compatibility mode ? it is a rather old laptop you are using

You need to grab the 64bit nvidia driver installer.

right click on the setup.exe file>properties > comopatibility> run in compat mode for xp or vista> tick run as admin> ok then right click again on setup.exe file then run as admin

the dell website lists 2 drivers for your lappy a quadro nvs 110m and a 120m and the driver version has 97.46 that is for the vista 64bit will try to post a link when i can get on the site on this pc

Hi,

After installing Windows 7 64bit on my Dell D820, I downloaded the Vista 64bit drivers from Dell's site using the link provided in the post above by johngalt. I right-clicked on the downloaded file, chose "Properties", then "Compatibility". I checked the box for compatibility mode the chose "Windows Vista" (as opposed to the options with service packs). I clicked "OK" then ran the installation. I rebooted when it was done and ... it worked. The aero theme kicked in and my external LCD monitor came on.

Happy.

Since this thread comes up #1 when you google for "Nvidia quadro nvs 110m windows 7" I thought that it might be helpful to post up and let folks know it works.
