Possible to charge usb devices without turning computer

I have a M17x Alienware laptop. I was curious if there was something other then the bios setting I need to set in Windows 7 to allow my Razer Mamba to be able to charge on its charging station that is connected via USB to the laptop while it is powered off and is plugged into the AC adapter. * Its just the Batter of the Laptop gets the power to be charged from the power source when you plug in the AC Adapter. However, you need to turn on the Laptop to discharge power to the USB and other devices !

Actually with all due respect, after doing some more research and looking through my notebook I will have to tell you that you are incorrect. My laptop has 4 USBs and one USB/ESATA connection. Plugging my USB mouse charge station in that and turning my laptop off still allowed me to charge the mouse while the computer was plugged in or straight from the battery.

Buy an externally powered USB Hub. I have a 4-Port Belkin hub that draws power via outlet, so everything connected to it (battery operated, such as my PSP and Zune) can charge without the Computer being powered on.

You can buy the 4-Port Belkin hub at Wal*Mart for ~$15.
