Solved 64-bit installation failure

I have 32-bit Windows 7 on my PC. I went to my computer's property and checked my Windows Index Experience. It says that my PC is 64-bit capable. I tried installing 64-bit it wanted me to console to the service, which I don't get it.

Last year I wanted to install Vista 64-bit version and it says that my PC doesn't support that. Also my CPU processor is AMD Turion X2 '64'. Does that 64 means the 64-bit OS or something else?

Are you trying to install the 64-bit OS from within the 32-bit one? This cannot be done. The only way is to insert the 64-bit DVD, boot up to it, and perform a clean install.

Oh damn! I will leave this issue to the future when I am going to format my PC.

Try to get the same brand, frequency and timings as the one you have installed now, better to get two new 2GB RAM cards, matched pairs always have a better chance to run well together.

that would be costly for me. it is better to sell my current laptop and buy a new one.

Mixing RAM cards can work but, they can be incompatible also, just make sure you buy it at a place with a good return policy.
