Bunch of Random BSODS lately

So lately i have been getting quite a few bsods, and cant seem to figure out why.

I have/am running sfc/scannow again the first time i got a bsod during it.

I googled some of these bsod errors but didnt come up with anything concrete or current most of the time. Would love some help with these.

I am running everything at stock settings, except for the CPU which is stock 2.8ghz but i unlocked the 4th core. i have been using this system for 2+ weeks now, but am only recently getting these and prime95 ran blend and small ftt's for 30+ hours and small ftts for 16+ without and errors.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Theres quite a variety of error codes in there which always leads to believe hardware especially the 0x124 error, have a look here for a summary of the errors and possible causes

I would start by running memtest86 to check your ram as that would seem the most obvious problem, heres the link Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool i would recommend running for a min of 5 passes (this will take a long time)

Also try running a full diagnostic on your HDDs HD Diagnostic

Let us know the results of the sfc scan

Problem is i dont have a working dvd drive atm. I downloaded the USB memtest but can i run it off of the USB? And if so do i need to remove everything else from the USB?

Also i passed the SFC scan. No integrity violations.

As long as your mobo accepts booting from usb then yes, create stick and boot from it

And yes i believe the stick may get erased when making it bootable so backup any files on it, not sure if the stick needs to be fat32 or ntfs but if it changes the drive will be blanked

you need to google them to find what installs them and update or remove them as they could be tipping your system over

can you check your ram voltages and timings in your bios match the spec they are supposed to run at ?

also what antivirus are you using ?

win32k.sys keeps popping up as the cause and this is often ram :huh:

Ram voltages and timings are set correctly. I never ran memtest ( as i said i dont have a working DVD Drive atm )

pcouffin.sys was installed with ConvertXTODvD, its needed.
DB3G.sys Diamondback USB Optical Mouse Driver also needed.
RimUsb_AMD64.sys Range in Motion Blackberry Device Driver for AMD64, also needed.

lirsgt.sys Dunno cant find it, dunno how to remove it.
atksgt.sys Same as lirsgt.sys. Says both are part of Tages copy protection, but again cant find it to delete it.

Yes my mobo supports booting from a USB. Maybe with doing the memtest thing i will take the time and upgrade my bios with EZFlash.

If you wish to disable a driver navigate to %sysroot%\windows\system32\drivers locate driver and change file extension to .bak then if its needed again its still there, dont delete it
And 64 bit drivers are in windows\syswow64\drivers but i doubt there will be much in there

Just noticed your still running 7100 build dont forget its due to expire soon, time to upgrade!!

ALright well i just formated my USB device and got memtest on it ( And some form of linux apparently lol ) but the memtest is what matters so i will proceed to do 5 passes now.

Try switching the modules. test them again.

Test them 1 by 1 also, if you can.

Most important, try another set of memory. I had problem with an asus board not liking my g.skill ram. Of course finding another set of ram is not the easiest part.

Like Pauly said, it would be better to have the updated version of windows 7 wich could eventually cure lot of problems.

Went down to bestbuy, got a DVD Burner and windows 7 x64 ultimate. just got done installing and reformatting. lets hope the issue is resolved.

Ok the two dumps contain error codes
0x4E BSOD Index
0x50 BSOD Index

Have you run a full HDD diagnostic tool yet?
Both dumps reference a page fault so i think its important to run that test and check your page file settings are system managed which it should be unless you changed it

The common link between the two dumps is memory related so ram and HDDs are the likely culprit, if HDD checks ok then try removing some ram and/or running memtest again

You still have some old drivers on your system, these could do with updating especially the 2005 one

So for HDTune i imagine the error scan is what i want to use right?

Found the other drivers except for the ACPI driver, searching the asus website for it it dioesnt some up for a download, and the only one i did find was for vista.

Error scan with HDTune, all green no errors.

Yep, checked the virtual memory, its on auto.

that was interesting, i downloaded it and i think installed it? A DOS window popped up saying it was found then my computer immediately restarted itself.

Also i havent had any bsods since the last one in my other message. So i hope they are gone for good but who knows yet :/

Well then i have had this comp on for most of the last 24 hours or so, and i believe the problem is fixed. Was gaming most of today without an issue ( where most of the bsods seemed to happen ). Thank you all for your help. I greatly aprecciate it.
