Like what the title says, which one gives the highest possibly internet connection speed?

I believe wired always trumps wireless, but I don't know about the home plugs.
I'm sure someone here will know though.:)

the HomePlug system which uses the elctrical wiring in your can support data speeds of upto 85mbps whereas ethernet can support upto 100mbps but i seriously doubt u'd notice any difference in speed and it is a cheap alternative. one thing to bear in mind tho is (i think) the plugs have to be on the same ring main.
