Have you tried re setting your Router/Modem rebooting it ? Sometimes they get stuck in a loop and fail.

Very Interesting...

I'd be willing to bet that you issue is the wrong nic driver....

The driver date in your screenshot shows 3/31/08... Win 7 didnt hit the pavement until 10/22/09, so I doubt that is the right driver for your lappy. It may work (for a day or so...) but there has to be something more recent!

Another thing to try is disable your firewall and test...

Plus, you have some unidentified bluetooth devices.

Almost sounds like his original drivers are working but then breaks when the machine gets an update or 2.

I would check either RealTek or the manufacturer of your laptop for more recent drivers. Manufacturer is usally best place to start. Also, at risk of sounding simplistic also try a new Ethernet cable just in case.

Good points xenos... If the NIC is integrated on mobo, then mobo mfg, (not nic mfg) is way to go!

Also 90% of network issues are @ physical level... so yes try a new or different cable!

If you have installed ANY Adobe or Apple software then more than likely they have installed something called the "Bonjour" service. It hoses DHCP.
