The Chinese portal 'CnBeta' has published some screenshots showing the installation of a pre-release version of Windows 7 Service Pack 1. This is the version "v.101" an internal release meanwhile, the "v.117"already exist.

There were indications on the desktop that this is a beta version and proposed only for testing, the build number increses after installation from 7600 to 7601 however the package size is too large : 409 megabytes and bears the knowledgebase of existing updates for the number KB976932.

I am curious as to what SP1 will include. I waited a full year before installing SP1 on XP because XP1 caused problems with two essential programs I was running. Eventually that bug was patched.

Saw some screens on MDL last week about SP1 but was not sure about the authenticity. I really cant see SP1 bringing much new to Win7 apart from a consolidation of updates and some minor bug fixes ,409 megabytes suggests that as well. I think its just more to do with pumping it out and hoping the corporate market adopt it A.S.A.P. Could be wrong ( I normally am :p)

disappointing

No, theese are not the same! WZor said about the pictures on the Muy Windows that tey are fake, but this time the pictures leaked on the CnBeta, and they are not the same images. Wzor not commented yet the new ones. No one can tell this time (I think) that these are fake or not, except Microsoft.

Are theese fake or not, I think the pictures shows how it will be look like, and we will not be surprised when it comes. The SP1 will be just a collection of the updates what are already available via the Windows Update and what are leaked from Zukona (you can find them on the net, for example on the mydigi forum, or using google and "zukobonus").
I think there will be no big changes or surprises, or at least nothing what you can see at first look. I installed all the leaked updates, and I did not noticed any changes. Only that the build number changed to 7600.20618.
This "SP1" is just a "show" for the companies that are usually wait untill the SP1 before they change their system.

Why is 400MB too big to be real? Vista SP1 is 434.5MB.
