Hi,
I recently tried to install Windows 7 Ultimate on to a separate IDE Hard Drive but I have failed. I unplugged everything but just my DVD Drive and Hard Drive from the motherboard (the DVD Drive is connected to the Hard Drive through a IDE Cable to the motherboard).
I pressed F12 to boot from the DVD Drive and started the installation. Everything was going fine with the installation, I got to where it says preparing your pc for first use, I get to a "Welcome" screen, then it says "Shutting Down" immediately after. The pc reboots but fails to load up Windows 7 at all, it just reboots in a loop with nothing. I've tried reinstalling again and again and I cant get past this.
Anybody got any ideas as to why this is happening?
