What an odd assumption to make when you've just released a major update. Silly Opera. Could the ballot screen have contributed? Absolutely. But I don't think nearly as much as Opera suspects. This is just an easy way to spin some PR based on the new ballot screen. Some companies annoy me.

I would advise everybody never to use opera because their company is a big hypocrite...

They were the most annoying complainers to the european union over the ballot for browsers, even though they had the smallest market share. They complain about internet explorer taking away their innovation, even though their innovation wasn't any higher after the ballot. They don't deserve to be in the top five. They are hypocritical because they complain about other companies stealing their innovation. Then, they didn't have any innovation........

Maybe hypocritical shouldn't be used here? Maybe just annoying, cheating, exploitive, and dirty :D

in the news i saw that the ceo of fire fox was the biggest complainer of the IE thing in Europe.

Opera was the annoyingest though, since firefox actually has a reason. Hmm, perhaps my memory fails me but I thought opera was the one that complained more, not firefox. In any case, both firefox and opera were the major complainers but opera was just there to exploit.

That description would be apt for many software companies... ;)

If I boycotted a companies product solely due to those reasons, I wouldn't be using a computer at all.

SIGH, fine I lost the argument, lol...I was simply trying to say that out of those five browser companies, opera was the most annoying...Its like the a tiny kid....like napoleon.....fueling the antitrust case though they are so small.. that tiniest irk that you cannot get rid of...

but hey!!, that doesn't prove that it is a great browser!! ;)

lol, there was no argument on my part. I was merely stating the way it is :)

All companies do what they can to gain marketshare, conversely all companies that have the marketshare will do all they can to retain it.

So If I said I loved opera ? I think they feel under appreciated and want to be noticed? There browser is pretty good. Not number 1 but pretty good. I mostly use it for its mouse gesture with right and left clicking for forward or backwards on the web. Speed dial is nice too? Someone want to convert me?

lol, I'm not trying to convert anybody, I'm just saying that their company was horribly annoying >.< thats all....Im totally being kicked around for saying something bad about opera..=.=. I wasn't wanting to start a war or something .-. I just wanted to say, nobody uses Opera, so they pinpoint all their blame on microsoft. Even after microsoft relented, their marketshare is still low (netapplications.com) Now they have nobody to blame but themselves >:D

I wonder who the other 8 were. I just downloaded 10.5 Final to check it out. No opinion yet, still trying to get my FF bookmarks over to it.

Me neither :)

Maybe it's because I already have all of the top five "ballot Browsers" on my machine :)

Oh and by the way - the browser I use as first choice is opera

I was a long term Firefox user but made the switch about a year ago due to the excessive memory usage
