My desktop still says the build number on bottom right

I've been running Windows 7 for a while now. I am running the latest build and have been since it was released.

However, in the bottom right corner of my desktop it still says:

Windows 7
for testing purposes only, build 7600

Everything is legit of course and activated.

Any ideas?

Have you installed "Windows Activation Technologies" by any chance? It will have come through as an update. Does it say you're activated in System properties?

Yes, it is activated. As far as the Windows Activation Technologies update, not showing up for me...

This build is Windows 7 RTM.

Can you run "slmgr -dlv" using command prompt and post a screen-shot?, remembering to scub out the important info with paint or something.

I ran the Genuine tool. Passed of course. I've been running Enterprise for way over 90 days.... This is what we use here.

Do any of you know a registry key that will turn that message off?

Try restarting your computer. Some says that a restart after running the validation fixes it. If not, then Genuine Microsoft Software
