I'm so stupid. I activates Hp recovery partition, in hopes to get it to factory setting and make a backup disc. I was reading it in a forum that that's the method. I right click on computer, and chose manage, and then storage, and activated hp recovery. Now, when I start my laptop, it would just go to Recovery Manager. What should I do? -_-'

Try to enter in safe mode (f8 key on boot) and disactivate your recovery partition. It should either be a Fat32 partition.

You should make your recovery disks directly from the start menu programs with the app provide by HP.

Hello soulshine, welcome to Seven forums!

When you get that sorted and are able to get back to the desktop, in the Windows 7 start menu look for entries labeled as "HP" or "Manage Backup" or something similar to find where to create the backup disks; it's been a while since I had my HP box but it's in the start menu under all programs.

Be sure to post back to keep us informed.

Thanks for the quick reply. I can't get back to desktop. When I start up my laptop, it would just go directly to Recovery Manager. I could choose backup or use Microsoft system restore. I'm doing the restore right now back to February, but I doubt it'll work. I mean will it even change the setting that I've made? I did it earlier and it did not change at all, so now I'm going back to February.
When I press F8, I don't see that deactivate your recovery partition. Likewise, I tried safemode, but it would just go again to Recovery Manager. -_-'

Let the system restore complete and if that doesn't work have a look at ...

Last Know Good Configuration (advanced)

... in the tutorial at the link below to see if that'll do it.

Howdy manhunter, thanks for the help.
The same thing happened. :( It's like my hardrive is set to D: recovery partition. Is there a way to deactivate it using command?

Will this download work - can it be safe for my version/laptop?

Well done on getting it sorted! Yes, I second what BFK stated: make those discs asap (safe place).
