I am currently running a single-core 3700+ (2.2 GHz) and 2 gigs of RAM (and a 8800 GTS for graphics). Anyway, I've been playing many games on both platforms, and even though W7 is leaps and bounds over Vista, my XP setup still dominates game performance in games like Company of Heroes, World in Conflict, and even CoD4. There are some games which preform so well, regardless of setup, I cannot tell (like IL-2 Sturmovik and those last-gen games). However, I'm more concerned about this-generation games, and so can someone tell me if maybe it has something to do with the setup or maybe I'm wrong based on recorded data, or that Microsoft is still tweaking performance. Thanks.

that is one reason, also the nvidia drivers arent as good as compared to the xp/vista ones. Another thing could be you are running directx 10 mode for some of your games( company of heroes)
