can Wireless lan and ethernet Lan co exist?

i have a computer that is connected to a domain.
i want to connect it with an usb wireless adapter.
the problem his that if i use the adapter i can't acess the domain because it's two different networks.

i'm working on windows 7 ultimate 32 bit
is there a way to work with both networks connected?

my computer is HP DX2300

and this is the specs:
GE115EA HP dx2300 MT PD-925 2x3.0GHz 2x2MB HT,1GB DDR2,160GB,DVD+/-RW,FastEth,WinVistaBusiness32

I dont think it'll work but if anything, make sure your IP address on each network is different.

What do you mean by "is there a way to work with both networks connected?"? Do you want to use both network connection at the same time and access the same network? If so... yes you can, but why? OR, do you want to use Wifi instead of wired to access the domain...? Which one?

Please elaborate in detail... You can work on a multiple network at the same time, even using only one NIC...

IIRC, in Domain controlled network, you can only do so much - as much as your Domain administrator permits you to do. Your laptop isn't exactly "yours" in a Domain controlled network. Btw, why use WLAN for Internet access? You can't do that unless the Domain Security Policy permits it. I suggest you ask your Domain Administrator as for how to solve your issues...

That's what I was thinking.... as soon as the OP joins the domain, he's subject to the permissions of that domain... Far as I know Windows can't deal with two permission sets at once...

assuming the two nic's are on different networks, create/set routes using the nic you want to use for the destination network(s).

ps: you can even have 2 default routes (with different weights)

No can do... This computer is in a Domain. Unless the Domain Security Policy permits such behavior, or the Domain administrator manually configure this computer - there is no way the OP can go and configure it as such...

Pardon me? Computer/Software/Security/Group Policy settings gets overwritten when you log into Domain... Or I'm missing something here...?

but lets take up the point of a privileged task - say routing or rather the ability to add/set/remove routes.
if your domain account is added to the local admin group, manually or by gpo, you indeed have (more) privileged rights
