Outlook 2010 (x-86) FONT TOO BIG and can't make smaller
Hi all
I can't seem to make the fonts any smaller when creating emails.
Is there any setting that can make the whole thing smaller -- Whilst I might not have 20/20 vision I'm not THIS bad.

Cheers

Instead of HTML, have you tried using plain text and set the font to size 10 or 11?

Have you highlightened it then try changing the text
or try this: first type what you want in plain text higlight then changing size then change to html and try and make sure it keeps same size.

Those are the right links. Though the problem is most readily manifested in Outlook, the root cause is in Word 2010.

It doesn't work...not 32 bit anyway. When one clicks on the link (IE, FF, Chrome) does not open. DNS error. Tried several times.
If I had your email address I can send screen shots!
I'm pretty sure that means something to x86 am I right?
32 Bit (x86 or something)

Do you mean the link I gave doesn't work, or the 'fix' doesn't work? ...

In a comment on the site, that is what it said, I cannot quote properly..

I have this problem too. In fact, ALL of the Office programs have this overly sized icons and fonts (notice that the icons in the screenshot are somehow stretched?).
I believe it has something to do with the theme or advanced display settings you're using. I'm using *webtrance's Qs Counter Elements 7 with HaxrCorp 4088/4089 as theme and font. I tried switching between the default theme and this theme, and I noticed the icon and font sizes returned back to normal on the default theme. I still haven't figured out what part is over-sizing them.
I'm downloading the fix right now.

Not to be insulting your intelligence, but have you tried altering your Zoom in the Format Text menu and resetting it to 100%?
Search your computer for "normal.dot"and rename it to something else. This issue is probably caused by your document template being messed up, renaming the file will make the computer generate a new empty one.

A bit late to reply with this, I was having the same problem. Open a new email, type something onto the email. Hold down Ctrl and use the wheel on the mouse to zoom in/out to increase or reduce the font size.

Dungbug- Your solution worked like a charm for me. Infact i didnt believe your solution the first time. I could not believe it still, but it works mate !!
I have tried this stationery and Fonts a zillion times before and though the font got set right, it would never reflect in a new mail and used to have huge sized fonts.
You're welcome, simple solutions are usually the best. I'd tried adjusting Font size to no avail, glad it's helped someone out.
