Agreed, the Firewall is free, but when you go to the link in the post and click on the "GET IT NOW" link this is what comes up:https://accounts.comodo.com/cfp/management/signup?aid=13

If people want just the firewall I'm sure they can find it for free with some searching, but following the links in the post leads to paid versions.

Also of note is that these test results were done on a WindowsXp SP3 machine. Since this is a Windows 7 forum it should be noted that some of these products are still not suitable for all Win7 OS including Online Armour Free, which is not compatible for a 64 bit system.

OK, sorry for that hackerman1... I take back everything I said. I don't choose any of those products. Every single one of them have 1 fatal failure point, your OS. So, I'm not choosing for now.

Be careful, read the topic, it stated to choose software firewalls tested by Matousec - which IMHO- are lousy at best. One single fatal point of failure, the OS. But I AGREE 100% with you ccatlett1984, IPCop is VERY GOOD.

One thing I can say is that Comodo´s firewall slowed my system down compared to windows7 firewall control... just my .02 cents so far...

This is part of the reason I do not use 3rd party firewalls. I prefer the performance, a router, Windows 7 Firewall Control and using common sense.

The firewalls that do well do so because they have HIPS. The behaviour blockers do badly because... they are behaviour blockers.

If you want to know how good a firewall is, this is not the test for you.

There appear to be many problems with Matousec tests but they have been repeated many times before.

Correct Link for Comodo Internet Security (Free) - You can decline to install the Anti-Virus and proactive Security (Defence+).

Please be very careful to read each page of the installer as there are options to install toolbars and homepages which I would not recommend

because they may be useful IF you want to enhance your current security.

Ok, another "sorry" then... After I read and re-read the thread subject, I thought you were pointing to software firewalls that are tested by Matousec... IPCop is a "software" firewall, and I think it's VERY GOOD, and it's not tested by Matousec - and this part of your post:
