Works for me, but performance was better on Vista (on the same machine), maybe graphic drivers for Windows 7 will get better (I use Nvidia).

It works and even better than in vista,use the latest patch and you will see the difference, in vista i was playing at 1280x800 at medium, while in win7 i play at 1440x900 at medium-high

I'm using the 1.0.4.0 patch and I still it worked better on Vista

3 months ago i played gta iv on windows xp -1440*900
........tesxtures on medium ........... and the rest on high ................ and it worked verry good
NOW ... i play gta iv on windows 7 ultimate (32 bit) and..................when i press a button it stop from working for 2 seconds and run again (i'm sorry for bad english)...................and it's happen on 800*600.............and the rest of minimum ..............oh, and my computer speech ...........
AMD Althon II X4 ~ 2.6 GHZ
ATI Radeon HD 4650 series
2 gb DDR3
500 GB har disk

Vladdy, have you downloaded the latest patch? this resolved a lot of issues. I am running in 64x and saw lag and texture problems until I installed patch.

I think this is Rockstars Fault
MAYbe GTA 5 will not be as GTA 4

I got GTA IV and I used to have the same problem as vladdy8 - I press a key - lag for 2 seconds and then the game continues. Downloading the new patch fixed everything though - I was not only running without any lag, but I also got the game running @ about 35-40 FPS with medium to high GFX settings. I got ATI HD 4850.

Here is my suggestions:
- Update to the newest NVIDIA (180.84)/ATI (8.12) driver
- Update to the most recent drivers for your motherboard chipset
- Update to Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1
- Restart your computer

If it still doesn't work try the following:
- Reinstall GTA IV


I dont know if that will help you. I would suggest the same. make sure you have the most recent stable drivers for your Video Card and your Mobo and make sure .Net is up to date.

I had issue with this game at first as well, but I didnt see any errors. I hope you get it resolved.

And feel free to search the forum for more info on anything you have questions about. There are lots of Tutorials on how to do lots of stuff on win7.

Sorry to hear. I have heard RDD is awesome, but I have not played it yet. I don't have PS3 or Xbox. I don't know of anything to emulate PS3 or xbox on PC. but I think it is coming to PC you just might have to wait.

Hmm looking around, I have not found anything that says it will be released for PC. If I find anything I will let you know.

ohh and about that problem whit Gta 4 , i have found a way to play it ....
you have to disable ,, Windows Event Log ,, from system configuration
srry for bad english ................ if the game (red dead redemption) will not be released on pc i will need a Xbox306

I did have major lagging problems but mine was sorted after an Up-Down-Grade (Went from QX9650 to Q9550 )

hey guys
i have a question................
do you think Rockstar Games will make their games for pc any more ?
Gta 4 have been release on pc after 7-8 months the game was released on xbox360 and Ps3
and now ... Red Dead Redemption will never be released on Pc (my opinion)
I think we need to buy consoles...(xbox and ps3)
