you can use a USB video adapter to add the 3rd screen if it is a limitation of your laptop.
EVGA | USB Devices | EVGA UV Plus+

I don't need DVI, the laptop has VGA and HDMI integrated, and I have a HDMI screen and a VGA screen so the problem is how to get all three working

If your laptop will not run 3 screens on its own, then you need to add the above device I linked. you can use a DVI to HDMI cable to hook up your HDMI screen.

Ah I am sorry. My laptop has a VGA and HDMI too, but I dont use both at once. it has a GTX 260M.... I thought you had a laptop graphics card. I will test when I can for my lappy. What kind of graphics do you have?

NOTE: Can you close the other thread (report it as a duplicate). We will post in this one to find a cure.

Tested. I could not get VGA and my HDMI to DVI and my laptop monitor to run at the same time.

I was able to close the lid and the VGA and HDMI monitors both worked (still only two monitors).

Andru;

First is the hardware. Your laptop would need the electronics to send a video signal to more than one monitor at a time. Unless designed differently, mostly you have the option to connect an external monitor and use it instead of the built-in screen. In your case it looks like you also have the option to connect with VGA or DVI-D but not to both at the same time. Remember, no matter how many connectors you may have, there may only be enough hardware to connect to one monitor at a time.

Secondly, what controls the hardware is the video driver. If you do have the hardware available to connect to two monitors at the same time, the driver will have to support that function. There is no third party software (I am aware of) that will control video to three monitors if that function is not already part of the video driver.

I have connections for four monitors with the desktop computer I have at the moment. The motherboard has two PCIx16 video slots and I have two video cards with dual DVI connectors in those slots. I have three monitors connected with room for one more. Your laptop most likely only has ONE built-in video card and will support only ONE monitor at a time, but will allow you to switch between the built-in screen, an external VGA or DVI monitor.

For you to connect three monitors, you would have to add video cards like is possible with a desktop. The only way to do that with a laptop is to use the already suggested USB to add video. Or the MATROX adapter which connects to the external video connector and then supplies video to two or three monitors.

What ever you decide, your laptop is not designed to display video to the built-in screen and the two external connectors at the same time.

Cheers!
Robert
