No, remove/disable one the Anti Virus programs immediately, they can cause major problems if left running simultaneously and could leave you less protected than just having one.

If you are paranoid about security you should regularly run anti malware programs such as Malware Byte's Antimalware or even if you aren't paranoid it's still worth doing every once in a while.

It is probably an overkill but I think you are OK. Avira is pretty good. I would use SAS for occasional scanning only. Why load up the system with too much constant background activities - Avira alone will do the job.

Are you sure? I have only one antivirus which is avira premium and just bought the pro version of superantispyware, I thought this would be fine as its a spyware? So ive just wasted some cash on going pro on the superantispyware?

osholt, I think he will be OK. SAS is not really a real time antivirus program. It is more of a scanner that acts at certain times. But I would not run them constantly together either - more of a resource question though.

It is a beautiful scanner. I would use it as such - but not as an add-on to Avira.

Not necessarily, but by the sounds of it you may well have.

The real time protection is what can cause problems when running simultaneously; is that the reason you bought the pro version, or was it for something else?

Yes it was for the realtime protection, Im not overly paranoid when it comes to security as i know avira does well, Just thought it would be a great added level of security, I will disable the realtime protection on it, Many thanks for the replys, Its very much appreciated.

Hi royal tyrant,

I have arrived late to your thread.
No you haven't wasted your money with SAS Pro. It is a good program & is well respected. My advice is to continue to use it...... [It is an anti malware program.]

Suffice to say - I too run SuperAntiSpyware Pro with a paid Anti Virus Program.
Both run on my system happily together. SAS Real-Time protection is enabled.

Thankyou for the reply JMH, i did have a look at the SAS site and they recommend it running with an antivirus and say its compatable with popular av programmes however i never saw avira there strangely, So i will be fine to run the realtime protection on it with Avira Premium, One sure way to find out, Thanks for your reply.:D
