I assume you already have the motherboard..if so the card should be fine..if not its also fine.Don't have to be anything over the top to run CS.

Yes that board will support that Graphics card. But you really want to be thinking more about whether your PSU is up to the upgrade too. Also is your CPU ok and will it bottleneck that card?

One other thing to keep in mind about Counter Strike Source is that it's more CPU dependant than GPU. Allthough after the recent update it just got it does seem to need a bit more graphics power due to the slightly updated Engine.

Might be an idea to fill out your full system specs in your profile too ;)

Yes, that board will support the Ge Force 210. Will you improve game-play? Probably not by much. The 210 isn't a gaming card; it's for htpc's. Unfortunately, the 210 doesn't even come close to delivering anything near acceptable fps: Game Benchmarks: Crysis : GeForce GT 220 And 210: DirectX 10.1 And 40nm Under $80. Yes, Source isn't as demanding as most modern games, but it's not Pac-Man either.

For $50.00, if the intent is to get better game performance, you'd be better off spending that coin elsewhere. How much can you spend?

Cpu's don't support graphics cards; however, motherboards do, and yes, either one of those two will work just fine with the board.

For reference: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card,2118-7.htmlhttp://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/graphics-card-geforce-radeon,2646-7.html

Go as high as you can.

Thanks a lot man!:D:D:D

Oh and two more things.. The higher they are the better they are?? and the ones that say mobility are for laptops???:sarc:

Both mid -range cards (the 5670 is faster than the 4670), and both are much better than the G210. And yes they are fair gaming cards, depending on the game. For something like CSS either one should be more than enough for a mix of medium to high settings.

could you suggest a good GPU in order to achieve high settings on css?!:)

by the way i found that the 5670 could also run CoD MW2..

his GPU is: NVIDIA GeForce 7050/NVIDIA nForce 610i (512 MB)
his motherboard is: Gigabyte GA-73VM-S2
RAM: 893 MB

First thing I would be looking at is adding at least another GB of ram, 1 GB isn't enough for much of anything anymore.

Also before recommending a new card, what is the make and model of the power supply in his computer?

Edit: Forgot to ask, is the ram in his computer 2x512 MB or a single 1 GB stick?

In your case, more memory will make a major improvement in game performance, much more so for the money you can spend than any available graphics card or CPU.
