Trying to install my graphics card but getting error message?

I am getting an error mesage saying the specified driver package was not installed for matching devices. I don'tknow why I am getting thins message as it is the correct driver. I have also noticed that if I go into my device manager all I get is a blank screen could these issues be related?

It's for XP but the same applies in Windows 7.

It is already like that but still nothing in device manager.

Try the registry fix shown here,

Device manager is blank

Create a restore point beforehand just in case something goes wrong.

When regedit comes up at the top right mouse click on it and select run as administrator and this will give you the privileges it is looking for then proceed with the instructions.

I have loggind in as an admin but it is still sayin access denied.

If the card has worked in the recent past, and this is a relatively new incident, I'd consider doing a repair installation since it sounds like your OS is not acting correctly.

The OS was only installed yesterday, but the thing is my firewall also is acting strange. I am going to do a system restore to yesterday to the first resote point I have.

Excellent, I'd also disable your firewall to get things running then re-enable it, they can interfere with things at times.
