Do I have a problem and if so what is it?

Hello to all,
I just deleted the a partition and some unallocated space on a hard drive. I then formatted it the long way. As I look at it in the Computer view, the only thing that was installed was the $Recycle.bin. It was and labeled in blue. I began to copy files and make folders, and they all display in blue. Disk Manager states that it is a Healthy Primary Partion. Do I have a problem. My other drive and this one prior to the reformatting displayed the lettering in black.
What did I do wrong? Can anyone PLEASE help me fix it. Thanks

Hi -- Could you do two things to help us. Fill in your System Specs in the lower left hand corner of you last post and post a screen shot from your Control Panel of the Disk Management that shows how it is partitioned. Thanks,

Hello to All,
Thank you for your time and assistance. Below is the current, haven't rebooted since the formatting and giving it its drive letter of E: which is was originally. I also changed the name from IIRC New Volume to MB2 which was it's original name.




Now may not be the time, but I also need help in that the System Volume is missing as is the Windows created Folder with its group of System Images. I bulk copied over from the drive that was formatted to my C: MB1 drive into one folder. Finally does anyone recognize a folder called _SYNCAPP???

Gentlemen,
This was a full format. It asked me to pick the drive letter. After it was created I went and did a rename back to the original.

Correct me if I am wrong ... Is everything working ok but the only problem is the Blue colour ????

Other than the items I listed under the snip of the Disk Manager, it seems to be. I mean I haven't tried to run anything. But I can view the contents and they seem the same except blue.
I am also concerned about the missing System Volume Information and now that you mention it there are two files that were there on the original, MediaID.bin dated 7/8/2010 and a hidden desktop.ini dated today. Should those be copied over also????

After formatting a HD the only folder on the HD will be Recycle bin.

Only copy & Paste your own data to your data HD.

I wish I had written it down. But to the best of my recollection as I had a 99% healthy primary partition and to the left that was 200 MB of unallocated logical space, so I tried Extend Volume....... the partition took over all the space. Then maybe I had to format it. I clicked yes and chose full and at some point it asked me for a if I wanted to give it a drive letter. And a long time later it was done. Open Computer, say E: New Volume, clicked on it to rename it and noticed a blue $RECYCLE.BIN. Now I read somewhere in here that blue meant compressed to save space. But I figured I get in touch with you guys while I continued to copy the files back to it. Again somewhere along the line I lost the System Volume Information, am wary of copying those two files back and lost the folder and System Image files that Windows Backup and Recovery created on this drive. So there are many little question.
Please answer them in whatever order makes sense to you'all.
