Solved Why does my screen go black when I log off Windows?

When I log off a Windows account, my screen goes black for a few seconds and then comes back to normal and takes me to the log on screen. I never really thought about the issue until I saw my friends notebook log off smoothly. :p

My video card drivers are up to date

That is part of the logging off process and there is nothing wrong. My PC does the same.:D

It only goes blank/black for an instant (maybe 1 second) and then the logon screen pops up.
