Mozilla's Tab Candy is the first step to sweeter browsing

Tabbed browsing has arguably had a significant impact on the way that people use the Web, but the feature hasn't really scaled to accommodate the increasing complexity of the average surfing session. The existing tab management and overflow handling mechanisms that are present in modern browsers are dated and suffer from some fundamental limitations that significantly detract from user productivity.
As more software shifts into the cloud and users increase their reliance on the browser for daily computing tasks, browser tabs will have to evolve from a primitive mechanism for switching between documents into a full-blown task management system. The mainstream browser vendors have been slow to address this issue and haven't applied much innovation to the problem over the past few years. Mozilla has stepped up to plate and is aiming to hit the ball out of the park with some unique and truly compelling improvements to the tab concept.

Personal preference. Some people like better organization like this, others in folders in a menu.

How organized can one get?
Someone quoted a long time ago that "A sign of a clean desk is a sign of a sick mind"
If this is the case I definitely don't have a sick mind!

This just seems like a good way for people with 50+ tabs to ignore them. I bookmark things I know i'm not going to get back to in a while. And to organize tabs into groups i use multiple windows.

to me this seems like multiple browser windows inside another. But they other windows are harder to look at quickly.

Yeah the very idea of constantly having dozens of tabs open at once when you are really only paying attention to a few is yet another enourmous drain on the net as a whole.

FF has done this before by precaching data from links before you clicked on them. Sure it makes clicking on the link faster (IF you click on it) but in the mean time it's DLed 10 times as much data as you wanted or needed.

All those kinds of features (restoring 40 tabs on startup etc) is a drain on your own account (which for limited accounts like sat. or 3/4G can be quite harmful) but it's also a needless drain on the servers, your local loop and even the very backbone itself :/

A browser for all the anal's amongst us , the tree view does look pretty nifty though.
