My stupidity with other OS's

Hey guys, kinda new here, I know a little bit about computers but not a lot... I was experimenting with some other OS's (Ubuntu, Fedora, WinXP, etc.) and I decided just to keep 7 for now and delete the rest. Well, all the OS's came off fine, I reinstalled 7 with no problem, I just have one thing that's annoying me... it still doesn't just boot 7 automatically, it asks if I want to boot Win7 or "an older version of Windows". Of course, whenever you click it it just basically says nothing is there, because there is nothing there... I just want to know if anyone knows how to remove this option so Win7 just boots without any other options. I know it's probably impossible to remove it COMPLETELY, so even if there is just a configuration in Win7 that just boots Win7 without asking to boot any other OS's but doesn't delete your old OS's, that'd be fine. Any help would be appreciated, I'd just like to get rid of the "older Windows" option lol.

Type "msconfig.exe" into the start search and run the program presented

One the Boot tab of the application you should see the two start-up choices you are seeing

simply select and delete the entry you do not need

I've actually used msconfig already, but all that shows up is Win7. I used that to delete a previous 3rd option, a dead link to a second Win7 (I still don't fully understand what happened there). I've done the disc clean up and disk clean up and disk defragment but nothings worked, I'm at a loss :'(

OK check your install for a widows.old folder which may be the remains of an previous win7 install or it may be the remains of an old copy of XP on another partition - I would delete and remake any other unused partitions to be totally sure of cleaning them fully.

It may be useful if you could post a screenshot of your current partitions

The system is booting from the system reserved partition ( the actual partition that win7 is on is a logical drive ), and the boot sector appears to be corrupted.

Have put a request in to check if anyone else here has seen this before, hopefully there will be someone who can suggest something better than repartitioning.

All Linux code must be deleted.As you have had linux on the HD you need do a Clean all & full format.

Install EasyBCD 2.0 to have a look at the listings and remove any old ones from the list.

Removing the timeout for the stray listing doesn't remove the listing just it's appearance. If this is sufficient and performance is otherwise good, you can wait to wipe and reinstall but be aware you may have some GRUB corruption on the HD.

Be sure to backup or save any personal data to somewhere other than your C partition before you wipe and install.

The wipe will delete everything from your C partition.
