Look up friend. you can't move forward with your head hung low. You have the fortune of seeing them when you can. Take positive from that. Cherish every minute. Don't pity yourself or think of negatives. Things can turn around if you take positive steps. Think of them when you feel down and be happy knowing what you do have. Go outside with them in your heart. Enjoy the world that we are given. If you saw them for the weekend, remember and hold close the moments you had. Plan for tomorrow and when you will see them next. Importantly, Take time for yourself as well. Your wellbeing is important too. (took a long time for me to learn that one)
Pusspa, I know I have not gone through anything like what you are going through. I don't have children yet. I have lost loved ones. I lost my step-father last year to cancer with almost a year in hospitals. My father left when I was young. he chose his priorities. He is still lost to alcoholism.
