Hi everybody, first post, thanks for reading in advance...

So my issue is that I cannot get my xbox to connect to my dial up connection(it's all I can get here in the sticks) via Ethernet cable. There are numerous faqs and tutorials for doing it pre-windows 7, I had had success with this on my old computer running XP. Those tutorials used the network wizard, which 7 doesn't seem to have, and I seem to be too dumb to do without.

I clicked on the box in the sharing tab in my dial up properties to allow other connections, but it does nothing. I get a LAN icon that says public when I connect them, but it will not allow any internet to go through it.

I may be missing something entirely easy here, i'd sure appreciate some help on the matter. Is it a firewall issue or something? Thanks for reading and any responses, I surely appreciate it.

Could be a number of issues. Firewall, Homegroup, drivers, etc. We need more info.

If you hardware supports it you could (as a workaround) run win 7 in XP mode (virtual machine) and it should work
