Windows XP Mode not connecting to remote networks

Hi all,

I am having a problem with XP Mode running in Windows 7. It does not seem to be able to connect to remote networks. For example, connecting to my client's network via their VPN (it works fine in Windows 7).

Strangely, I can use IE to connect to websites, but I am not able to ping www.google.com (request timed out) from the command line, for example.

Any advice gratefully received,

Thanks,
Luke

Hi all,

Not sure if this is helpful because I am not a VPN expert, but I was not able in Windows XP Mode to connect to VPN using pptp (although I was able in Windows 7) but I was able to connect using l2tp (the VPN offers both choices). I don't understand it, and what is really strange on another straight XP laptop when I set up XP Mode on the Win7 laptop the straight XP laptop lost the ablility to use l2tp but can use pptp.
