Lost Most of my Task Manager

Hello to all,
I've just noticed in the past two days that my Task Manager only comes up showing the Process screen. It does not have any controls for looking at applications or performance. I must turn it off with the taskbar window, close window. Does anyone have any ideas as to the cause and cure? I have used Glary Uitilities and CCleaner on the machine. Thanks for any responses and help!

It sounds like it might be in "full view" mode. Double-click on an empty part of the frame and it should go back to normal.

My guess is Glary Utilities messed something up. It is best not to use registry cleaners/optimizers of any kind. I will make an exception when it comes to Ccleaner since so many on here don't have a problem with it, but I still don't use it to be safe. Are you able to do a system restore or do you have an image backup of your hard drive?

This is a feature of Windows 7. Just double click anywhere in the plain border on the task manager windows and the Tags will come back. You probably double clicked inthis area to cause the n"Compact Mode" to open. You can toggle back and forth by double clicking. Screenshot below shows where to double click

Thanks for that Derek. I felt sure I had seen a Tut for this but couldn't find it. I went all through the "Task" items in the search but it wasn't in there, or did i miss it, there were 5 pages of entries!

Thanks all of you Gentlemen for stepping up to help. Problem solved, happy camper. In reference to using Glary it does go a lot deeper and even if it didn't cause this problem it concerns me for the future. So in general is anything stronger than CCleaner generally recommended?

From what I can tell, Ccleaner isn't very dangerous, but I wouldn't recommend anything else with the words "registry cleaner" attached. Sometimes they erase good keys. This could leave some programs unable to run or even make parts, or all of the OS unusable.
