Hi all!

I'm totaly new to this just to let you know.

I'm trying to install a second version of Windows 7 onto my Sony Vaio laotop using a VHD file.

I have manage to create and install windows 7 on to my VDH file and I can succsessfully choose between the 2 diffrent windows-versions from the bootmeny.

Alltho when I try to start my windows 7 from the VHD disk it works up until i get a message "Your system does not support boot from VHD". (But then again at this state I'm allredy inside windows so it does not make any sense).

I think my question is can I somehow tweak the bootlader or can I add NTLDR to my VHD disk so to manipulate a working boot sequence? Or is it my hardware that is the problem?

Thanks in advance

EDIT: It actually says "License Error"

Might be interesting if you gave us some information about your system and what version of win 7 etc, so we know what we are dealing with

Booting from VHD is not supported in Home Premium and Professional. You need Ultimate or Enterprise.
