I was wondering as we all collectively have a real passion for pc's. Could we have a post for items wanted and or selling items. I'm looking for a BFG GTX260OC to SLI with my other one. But besides that I have tons over other cool stuff which I'd love to go to someone to use and enjoy. Would the dynamics of this put too much strain on the forum or could we work a category into the mix.

I think it's a good idea, for the most part. However, I think it would be better if it was limited to users with a certain amount of rep or posts or above a certain badge level. Just because that would likely limit the risk of bad deals.

It's a great idea, but I don't think it will work too well, because far too many people will then assume it's ok to post advertisements for stuff they are selling in the other sections, and before you know it, SevenForums will become just like ExpertsExchange, where you have to go through a slew of ads to get to the answer you're looking for, and then still end up having to make a donation first.

So my vote is no.

If you want to sell stuff, use eBay...

Wouldn't the worse case scenario be one category being used for the sale/swap/barter or wanted items? Not looking to turn the cite into CL but again thinking outside of the box. I agree a certain amount of reps or time as a forum member would be best. Maybe the scope of this site's reach being all over the world also could be a rub. Just tossing it into the discussion ring.
