I'm having trouble playing some games. Everything looks fine, the menu's are ok, but once i start playing, the environment of the game doesn't show up, somehow. here is a picture of how it looks. (It is made in Sniper: Ghost Warrior, but this it not the only game doing it.)

How Sniper: Ghost Warrior looks on my laptop...

As you can see, the UI is fine, just the world you should be walking around in, isn't right. I have already tried several things, like updating my GPU drivers, downgrading my ingame graphics, etc. I have a ATI Radeon HD 4570 512MB GPU, which should be doing fine running it, Any idea's on how to solve this?

Has it worked in the past? Like on THIS install? Did it happen suddenly?

Didn't had the game before it started, but I used to play Spore, with was normal in the beginning, but after some time the same happened. So, yeah, it happened suddenly. It also only persists in some games, but games like World of Warcraft and Perfect World International are running perfect, even on highest detail.

Strange indeed.

Try downloading and running Furmark and see what happens.

Wil do. In the meanwhile, what does Furmark do? Can't find an explanation that makes me understand...

I was hoping it would either crash your computer, or it would artifact/fail to render. What happened?

Well, the program worked. The animation didn't go smoothly, though. I felt like i was watching at 3 frames per second. I'll try to record it.

That lack of temp interests me. Can you download GPUz and show me that?

Oh you have a hybrid crossfire. That right there might be an issue. Try disabling one card and see what happens.

no, don't have crossfire. the HD 3200 is build in the HD 4570. 3200 is for energy saving, and the 4570 is for high performance. I have a notebook.

Well it is almost obvious in this case you don't want to save energy and by hybrid crossfire he means you have 2 gpu's as shown on you're post of gpu means you're laptop board has a gpu and you have a card installed and since the mobilty card is much greater it is apparent you turn off the 3200 series energy saver or what ever disable it and performance should increase by atleast another 25% or greater

Rememeber if you seek help you have to take what is given to you with some sort of thought to get you started were all here for the same reason knowledge and to council out what one has said could be possible would indicate maybe you really dont need the help but anyway I would follow what he is telling you

it is Hybrid crossfire because that is what it does ........use 2 gpu's to dictate graphics power and energy consumption Big ups LordBob.......:D

no you have to do it through the bios
restart and use the option key to access the bios

then it should be under chipset and graphics what is the make and model of your laptop there should be a manual or support for how to turn it off
