Automatically switch display w. HDMI device turned on?

First situation now:

I'm using a three display system where all displays are always connected but only max two can be used at the same time (see specs).

Displays 1 and 2 are monitors, display 3 is a FullHD TV. I'm normally using 1 and 2. Display 3 is in my bedroom upstairs, connected with 15 meters or 45 foot HDMI cable. When I turn the TV on and choose PC as signal source, Windows 7 switches the playback device automatically from PC speakers to HDMI Audio Out, and back to PC speakers when TV is turned off or another signal source is selected.

To choose which displays I want to use, I use Screen Resolution tool from desktop context menu.

The Question:

Would it be possible to make Windows switch displays automatically when I turn TV on? I mean do I have to always first change displays from Screen Resolution tool, or could it with some register manipulation be an automated process? And back when TV is turned off.

Sound device can do it. Could I "teach" my video settings to do it, too?

Is your TV connected via DVI-DVI, DVI-HDMI, HDMI-HDMI or other?

There is a pin that feeds data from the TV to the card, so it is (in range of) possible.

HDMI > HDMI. I think it should be possible. This is not a problem, it just would be last missing point in my almost automated system.

EDIT: The principle seems to be about the same how sound device is hot plugged, i.e. when I turn HDMI device on my sound output device is automatically switched.

Have not yet installed my Visual Studio on this 7-rig, thought to try something when got it installed.
