    Crossfire or Upgrade 7850

Just built this rig and took the 7850 with me into the new setup. Its not a dire need to have a bettter graphics card since my system seems to have no problems with most games on max settings. Planetside2, Path of Exile, being the two that have i have struggled with.

So do i crossfire and if so with what, or do i start OC the graphics card, or do i purchase another one.
    My budget is around 250.

If you want to go crossfire it has to be the same series card.

Personally, with an i5, I would upgrade to an nvidia card, a 960 or a 970.

    EVGA - Products - Graphics - GeForce 900 Series Family - GTX 970

    EVGA - Products - Graphics - GeForce 900 Series Family - GTX 960

Then start saving to get another :)

HD 7850 isn't that old, so Crossfire could work well for you. Depending on how much a new upgrade is for you, that could also be cheaper and much more worthwhile.

What, the 960 FTW is under your budget.

    EVGA - Products - EVGA GeForce GTX 960 FTW ACX 2.0+ - 02G-P4-2968-KR

    or just get another 7850

    Item

Give us a link to your exact card, so we can research. I come up with many items when Googling ATI Radeon HD 7850 .
AMD bought ATI didn`t they so how new/old can it be.

ATIs were already renamed as AMD Starting from the HD 6000 Series.

I need more info, Planetside 2 and PoE I think fall into the massive online games problem children category and OP might NOT need to upgrade their video card at all.

Has OP looked up tweaking performance on both games?

    I wouldn't touch the 960, it's only 128-bit Memory Architecture.

    A Radeon R9-280 can be had for sub $250, and being a 384-bit 3gig GDDR5 card.

I prefer to shy away from crossfire/SLI because of the micro-stuttering it creates. I don't know what your budget is but there is a "XFX Double D R9 290X 1000MHz 4GB DDR5 DP HDMI 2XDVI Graphics Cards R9290XEDFD" for sale on Amazon for under $350. XFX is offering lifetime warranty. Considering this card has been at retail for $900, it is a reasonable deal. Next generation won't hit until roughly September.
