    Screen resolution problem

    Now i'm running Win 7 x64 Ultimate.
My normal resolution is 1440x900 i powered up my comp last night and i noticed straight away that it wasn't.
    It was set to 1024x768.
I'm using an Nvidia Geforce 9500GT GPU.
Straight away i uninstalled the driver as there was no option for 1440x900 and installed an older driver.
    Everything was fine.
This morning i get the little yellow exclamation mark on my Nvidia icon in taskbar indicating an update, so i updated and stuff and everything was ok.
I powered down my machine and went and did some things, came back, powered up rig and same damn problem.
A friend thinks it might be something to do with my BCD file.
    Any suggestions please?

Right! It's just jumped back to 1440x900 on it's own while i was seeing what watching media looked like through VLC Player.
    So i'm thinking there's a glitch somewhere.

Now it's jumped back after a registry scan to 1024x768 and i'm hopping mad.
Does anyone here have a clue as to what it might be?

Have you tried cleaning the graphics card?

Use a eraser to polish the gold contact. at the same time check for any scratch on the gold contact.
And check the slot for any bit of dirt.
Insert in firmly to ensure the card is properly in.

    I feel like an idiot.
The cable wasn't plugged in properly
I can be a real ass sometimes, thanks for any suggestions and help.
That also goes out to anyone who posted.
