    Hi
certainly is weird the official site says w10, but when you start digging down there are drivers for 7
been looking at available updates,, there seem to be masses of them 17, for Bios alone
What page did you find this on? Mine was this one, and if there are 7 drivers on that page then I definitely missed them.

would you be happy to run and post the MSINFO32 report
This is unfortunately the file I couldn't scrub my profile name from, so no. I'd be happy to provide any specific piece of info from that report that would interest you, and/or get some screencaps of most/all the other information when I have some more time later this evening.

EDIT: So I didn't initially realize that the msinfo32 program has an export feature. It's not the most readable thing in the world but all the info should be there (with system/drive/profile names scrubbed by replacing with brackets). I can still screencap something specific from the more readable version if needed.

EDIT 2: Reading into the msinfo a little more... I'm not sure if it matters, but I believe I can explain the two "problem devices." One of them, the network controller, is the unusable onboard wifi card for which no Win7 drivers exist. The other one, "GLCKIO2," I'm not sure about, but a quick search suggests "RGB Fusion" from Gigabyte might be involved. At one point I did attempt to install that app to control the (very few) RGB elements I have, but if memory serves, it kept crashing when I tried to run it so I eventually got rid of it. I doubt either of them is involved in this issue, but just mentioning for the sake of thoroughness.

    Hi

please run sfc /scannow, (notice the space)
this is for the ntd.dll problem afffecting the wireless

    which updates keep failing,

download and run the Intel driver updater..... ENABLE the onboard Wifi first, unplug you TP linkUSB before hand

Does Gigabyte have a driver updater tool if so please run it

I see you have Acronis, allbeit dissabled.... i would like you to create an image BEFORE we go to the next steps

catalyst control centre is causing a problem
I propose to clean install your Radeon graphics drivers..

please download and run this tool...... read the instructions first

Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 18.0.6.4

If I wasn't clear enough on this earlier, the problem is that there are no Win7 drivers for the onboard wifi. I researched this exhaustively when I first put the machine together, to the point of comparing hardware IDs for the onboard model (9260) and the last known model to actually have Win7 support (8265) and verifying that the latter is physically nowhere to be found on my board. Strangely the disc I got with the board actually contains drivers for an 8265, but it's physically not present (I speculated that it might be possible to buy an 8265 and swap it in, but I'm not aware of anyone having actually done so). So Gigabyte literally listed the board as Win7 compatible and then included an onboard device that specifically was not.

Not that I'm aware of, will see if I can find one tonight.

Can do. I was unaware of Catalyst Control Center though... it's not an actual program I can seem to search for, and I don't see mention of it in the textfile (could you point me to any key areas or terms where you noticed the problem?).

Ok, so I've managed to run the driver uninstaller and then reinstalled the Radeon software (last version). There's no change - the most reliably offending game still BSODs me within a minute of launching.

I looked into a driver updater tool, but Gigabyte only had this page, which when I searched my model only produced Win10/11 drivers. However I was able to find chipset drivers from Aorus here - ran them, but unfortunately no change.

I'm attaching a new crash dump and msinfo which were generated after these changes. Do you still see the "cnet" problem? (If so, roughly what section of the file, as searching it for cnet produces no results)

Sorry if I missed something. Does the above answer your questions at present? If not what did I miss?

I'd like to focus on the GPU/PCI issue for now so I'm not going to explore anything for the wifi at the moment.

What power supply do you have?
As previously stated, 550W... does this mean anything to you? I didn't think I needed anything higher, but if there's something I've missed please let me know.

Aside from my bypassing the Intel wifi card right now, have I answered everything you asked so far? I already made an image and clean-installed the driver per your instructions, to no effect. Is the problem you previously identified still present in the msinfo dump from my previous post? If so, what next steps can I take?
