slow installation and boots up Win7
Hello,
My pc OS Win7 suddenly got NTLOADER boot problem and cannot boot. Had tried to repair the MBR with the installed disc but w/out sucess. So I formated the whole hdisk and reinstall the win7 os. This time I took 10 hrs to install the os. The pc was very slow in installation and finally finished the process but the pc booted up slow .Had go thru the forum and notice some people suggested the following:
1) disable the floppy if don't have
2) disable the usb controller
3) press F5 during installation
4) remove 2G of ram (as mine had 4G)
Had done 1 to 3 but no changes .When I remove 2G of ram there's a vast improvement of speed in booting. So I fixed in 2G of ram in re-do installation of the win 7 os . plug back 2 more G of ram in hopefully it will recognised as upgrade of ram. But the pc still booted up very slowly(about 45mins) Can the Motherboard hit by any virus to slow down the process in install and boot up.
The specs as following:
MSI P6N SLI motherboard
Core2duo E6550 2.33GHz
4 G OCZ Reaper series PC2 6400
Win 7 64bits OS
Can someone helps on the problem I encounter.
Thks
