    I am leaning toward the i7 3770k with this mobo
    Newegg.com - ASUS P8Z77-V LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard $190; Z77 chipset
    I think it best serves my purpose.

    I managed to fix my old pc and due to financial reasons I will stick to it for now.

    Glad you got the problem straightened out! In the near future, if you do go ahead with a build, save some money and get the 3570K rather than the 3770K....put the extra $100 into something else. Also, as far as motherboards go, the big three are Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte....I wouldn't try to save a buck and get anything else.
