Alienware Battery - Plugged in, not charging
Over the last week, my alienware M11x laptop has refused to charge. Each time, the issue would resolve itself after a few minutes, but the problem has persisted for several hours now and my computer is now at 9% battery.
I have already tried removing, unplugging and and moving the AC adapter, none of which proved fruitful. I have also tried physically the battery (a pain, considering it is screwed in and behind the bottom panel), booting the computer without the battery, uninstalling Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, replacing the original battery and booting once again, which accomplished nothing.
This computer was very expensive (one might say overpriced), and I am not willing or able to buy any expensive parts at the moment. Is there any way to fix this problem from where I'm standing?
