DVD drive is working under Linux but booting from it any of the about 20 live DVD's i have doesn't nighter does safe mode(i'm repeatedly pressing F8 before i start my Pc until the error occurs still nothing), i'm going to try a live USB.
Can i install Windows on a partition from inside Linux?
At that point i don't care about saving my data i just wan't to reinstall Windows...
Could just reinstalling GRUB work?
And maybe the reason i can't boot DVD's is my BIOS settings, i don't remember exactly what i had changed when i first installed windows and linux...
BIOS Settings Under Boot:
Boot Mode: Legacy Support
Boot Priority: Legacy First
USB Boot: Enabled
PXE Boot To LAN: Enabled
but Windows and DVD boot used to work with the same settings...
also i'm not sure how to make a bootable windows USB i ones made one with Unetbooting by changing the USB's file system to NTFS just before Unetbootin started writing to it, but i don't remember the results...

Or just copy all files form installation DVD to root folder of usb stick. It must be a primary partition and marked ACTIVE.

Okay i maid a bootable USB and used "Startup Repair" but it didn't work what should i try now?
Did it boot succesfully form usb stick? Were you able to run "Startup Repair"? If so... linux isn't bootable anymore I assume.
When running "Startup Repair" you saw a screen where you can click "view diagnostics detail results" or something alike. Click on it. What tests didn't give a status 0x0, and what was its status?
The USB booted successfully but Start up Repair was unable to solve the problem, should i use some command from the command prompt to rebuild MBR or some thing??
If you boot from the usb and select repair computer computer it's scanning the disk to find windows. Which drive letter has windows? For example drive D in this example.
