    Plastic bags around computer case

I kind of have a habit of throwing various plastic bags next to the right side of my computer before throwing it away into a trash can. Can the plastic bags create static electricity that can damage the parts inside? Or does the case protect it from this happening?

The bags shouldn't cause any static electricity. However, if there are air holes that are being blocked, that could be a problem.

No, I always throw them away before using my computer. I don't actually use the computer when I sit there most of the time. And, the right side doesn't even have a vent.
