mouse or keyboard wont work after certain point on win xp

I have a windows xp pc a wired mouse and a wired keyboard
when i start everything is fine i can enter the bios but then it says fat 32 disk checking press any key to skip.the caps lock light turns off and after the fat 32 check nothing works just the lights come back on but no keys work.
I have tryed to boot up in safe mode and it does not work it just loads a list of drivers and even if i wait 20mins it does not do enything
i have tryed a ps2 mouse and keyboard an that does the same

The problem isn't the mouse. The problem is with the files on disk. They are corrupted.
Did you had a power failure or a freeze system earlier?
Fat 32 isn't the appropriate file system for the OS. It should be formatted as NTFS.
Do you have the Win XP installation disk?

Without a Win XP installation disk will be very difficult to fix it.
Does the computer has a COA stick on it?
Where you are? What language you speak?

Certification Of Authentic y - COA = Is a paper of the size of a gum stick and has the key code.
The installed Win XP is Home or Pro?
I have a Win XP Pro (English) that I can send it to you.
