Problems with Windows 7 install on MSI Z390 Motherboard

I just built a computer with an MSI MPG Z390 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard and an M.2 drive and I am having some trouble installing Windows 7.

First of all, my mouse and keyboard didn't work so I used a PS/2 keyboard instead which worked, but when I got to the hard drive part, I got the error message "a required cd/dvd driver is missing". What driver is missing here? USB 3.0 or NVME driver? Because it can't even

And yes, I did use the MSI smart tool to inject USB and NVME drivers, but it didn't work. Can anyone help?

As far as I know Win 7 isn't supported on that mobo. All the drivers, etc. are for Win 10.

For installing, both. But there is no USB 3.0 driver to it.

As already mentioned, Coffe Lake isn't compatible with Win 7 as it doesn't have the drivers (USB 3.0, Chipset etc.)
My advice is to install Win 10. During installation, when asked to insert the key, use the win 7 key you have. It will activate.

You can install a Linux version and run Win 7 on a virtual machine.
