    Coffee Lake/Windows 7

Anyone come up with drivers to allow Windows 7 mouse/keyboard to function on Coffee Lake CPUs - without having to reinstall W7, which is ready to boot from its own drive but for those controls.

Do you want to transfer a Win 7 drive from a computer to a Coffee Lake computer?

What are the specs of the Coffee Lake computer (MoBo, CPU and GPU)?

ASUS z390A/I7-8700. W10 O/S, dual booting between its SSD and a separate W7 SSD. NVidia 1060 GPU.

W7 boots up fine, but mouse and keyboard are not active, as Intel intended for Coffee Lake systems.

Can that be overcome without reinstalling W7?

You need the usb drivers for the z390 mobo. It is not because of the cpu..
Win7 drivers for USB 3.0/3.1 Controllers of new Intel chipset systems

If you have a ps2 port, plug mouse into that to install the drivers.
