    Windows 7 Edimax U-7318ug issue

Hi guys, I hope you'll help me out with this.

I have an Edimax U-7318ug USB wireless card which worked fine under Windows Xp, although it overheated a little, but still worked fine. I installed Windows 7 64-bit on my system (and it runs great, I love it ) and installed the drivers for the usb wireless card, which I downloaded from the site of the manufacturer, but if I stress the network a little, like downloading with uTorrent or downloading through Steam, the card just shuts down itself. Otherwise it doesn't do that if I just browsing. The problem with the overheating still exists, but I assume it's not so much of a problem, because it ran great under Windows Xp. Do you have any suggestions (despite that I should buy another device )? Thank you, folks.

Hi JediAndrey, welcome to the forums, Could you not fit a little fan,say off a graphics card on to the wifi card ,you could hold it in place with a couple of cable ties ?

I've thought about that but it'll be very difficult. Still, I'm not sure the problem is caused by the overheating, because it worked flawless under Xp. Maybe I really should buy an another device
