Intermittent flickering, HHD/RAID Problems
History:
A few weeks back I had a series of crashes and failure with Win XP 64bit. After about 4 clean re-installs, I figure that the 64bit version was unstable or something so I started over and did a clean install of Win 7 Pro 64bit. Then I started having the same problems I had with Win XP. I ordered another drive (Western Digital) thinking my old HHD was going bad. While waiting for it, I found that the firmware was out of date on my old drive (Seagate) and I installed the new firmware and installed Win 7 again. It seemed all right. When I received the new drive, I decided to RAID 0 both disks and reinstall Win 7. It ran alright for a few days but over the last 5 days, I've been getting a flickering type problem when something is opened like the task manager, my computer or outlook. The outter edges will flicker at a constant rate. Now whatever is causing this is also affecting my ability to click on tabbed items or items I try to click if I right click an item. Ex: If I have task manager open and want to close it; I right click it in the task bar to click close but the minute I move to click close the menu disappears due to the flickering. This happens every time. It is also true if I try to click a sub-category in the All Programs, like trying to click outlook under Microsoft Office. The minute I move from Microsoft Office to Outlook, the menu disappears.
There were periodic crashes and my event viewer had errors related to RAID issues and my old drive. I ran the manufacture's HHD tools and both drives came out clean and healthy. All drivers are up to date to include BIOS. All that is currently installed is component drivers, Office 20007, and 1 game. No other programs. After 4 days, my windows problems got worse.

Current problem: Since I couldn't figure out what the problem was with my RAID error, I decided to go with just the new drive (WD) and install Win 7. The problem is the new drive (WD) does not show up as a drive in the install window for Win 7. It shows up during BIOS. I reconnected the old drive (Seagate) and that shows up in the Win 7 install window. I have 6 SATA connections on my MB and I changed location to include changing out the data cable. I'm at a loss on why my WD drive won't show up during installation. The drive is working because I enabled RAID again for both drives and I'm typing this but still have the same problem as above with RAID and Win 7.
As for RAID issues, I'm reading that the nvidia RAID drivers are iffy at best but that's not confirmed. I was also told to install Win 7 on a single drive and then set up RAID 0 after wards but that doesn't make since. If this is fact let me know. Of course, the manufacturer is some what worthless in assistance.
